![]() 6/21 waiting for the elevator When I was little I wanted to be a film director. My films would have lots of scenes like this, places where people step off of an elevator, oblivious to the obligatory table and flowers pressed against the wall. And our hero would walk past the camera, off to another meeting, his thoughts loosely floating. 'These pants have gotten tighter'. And the camera would stay trained on the table and flowers and people would come and go, riding the elevator up and down, and no one would ever comment on the table and flowers or notice they were there. Until our hero returns and awaits his ride down and looks at the arrangement and says to himself, 'they have the exact same flowers on the third floor'. Note: Our hero is played by Bill Murray and everything I know about cinematography I learned by watching Jim Jarmusch films. Would you like to order an archival print of this photograph? |

Photography is both my passion and profession. For 20+ years I've made
a living as a photographer...advertising, editorial, photojournalism,
you name it. This website is my sketchbook, a place to start ideas and
watch them develop, ideas that will hopefully influence my commercial
photography or take me in new directions with my personal photography.
At the very least it confirms that I enjoy what I'm doing.
